Giving thanks on a special anniversary

On the one year anniversary of his bone marrow transplant, Cleveland sportscaster Jim Donovan shared his story and his gratitude. In a three-part series, he describes his long battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and the steps that led to his transplant. He explains the progression of his treatment and recalls some of the post-transplant “bumps in the road,” which included serious setbacks due to his suppressed immune system. He also expresses a great deal of appreciation for all the members of his medical team and for everyone, from family and friends to complete strangers, who continue to support him through this journey.
